I think the problem is that @Jonhollis wants to output picture out of the BMD, but get audio thru his Mac. Flame doesn’t like it when you split the two in the config… Maybe an NDI solution? Still curious @Jonhollis if you’ve tried manually patching your BMD output to input w/ any success…
Yup. I did this for a short time. Im going through my old notes but don’t see anything. I used Loopback to route the BMD audio into BlackHole: Route Audio Between Apps, which is a virtual input, then outputted that into the External Headphones Output in Loopback, if memory serves me correctly.
you only get an output option in Preferences/Audio when your audio is set to CoreAudio and video to None
yes - tried everything. given up now. best solution is for flame to allow different paths with audio and video.
Yeah I would love to figure this out too I have an amazing pair of studio monitors with AES/EBU digital inputs. The sound quality is awesome, but I can’t get flame to pipe through to them unless I disable the broadcast monitor. An annoying choice.
I’ve just been trying the loopback trick, but not working for me.
I think save that, the best option would be to go old school and have a small standalone mixer next to your desk that you can input your mac audio and bmd audio to. Plug your headphones to that, as well as your monitors, and you’re off to the races. Otherwise, I fear it’s a feature request & waiting game type scenario.
