Hi all, just a quick question, what USB and DP extenders are people using these days? We have to move our Flame ops up 3 floors while keeping the CPUs/Drives in the rack room. Looking at around 100 -150 meters so it would seem fiber extenders are the go. Just curious as to what works and does not. Looking at Gefen DP and ICRON/BlackBox USB extenders but the supplier in Australiais say 6 months lead time on the ICRONs.

We used the Gefen DP, but it was reluctantly. When we closed out the old location everything went into storage. When we pulled it back out after a year, the Gefens failed. They were, of course, 45 seconds past the end of their warranty. We tried a few others, but they were a no go. Adapters for HDMI/Optical to DP are not an option. We had to buy new Gefens. $$$.
What about just going to a Teradici/RGS solution?
I seem to only want to trust either thinklogical over fiber ($$$$$) or Teradici $$ or HP Z Remote Boost $.
