Using Tokens in Bookmarks

Hi all!

We recently switched folder structures on our SAN that uses date folders as the primary subfolder. For example, Project/Slates/250725. All of my bookmarks use the project tokens, but have pointed to the main subfolder (“Slates” in this example). However, I’m finding that it would be better to update the bookmark with a date token to save the extra step of navigating to the current folder every time. When I add the date token, however, it breaks the bookmark link.

For example, Project/Slates/YYMMDD/ does not work, but “Project/Slates/” still does. (I realize that YYMMDD isn’t totally correct syntax, but when I post it correctly on the forum, it doesn’t display properly)

I’ve tried a variety of different tokens to represent the date and made sure the date folder exists before I try and navigate to it, but to no end. I’m wondering if this is a syntax error on my part, or a limitation of the use of tokens in the bookmarks. Not sure if anyone has run into this before, but any insight would be helpful. We are currently on 2022.3.1 (in the process of upgrading to 2025).

Thanks in advance!

Mike

Try naming the folder YYYY_MM_DD
Edit. Never mind. This doesn’t work either.
For future reference, there is a format selection in the font style choices that allow you to type with syntax: <YYYY><MM><DD>. It’s the icon that looks like this: </>.
