Logik Portal

I had the same problem and it was because I had 2.0 installed instead of 2.2. I did as Mike suggested and replaced the logik portal folder with the new version and it fixed it.

Thank you very much @MikeV you are amazing!!

Is the website portal down?
I’m getting this message:

Yeah. I saw this too.
Logik matchbox website right?

Yes the website
And my python portal inside flame don’t download the shaders.
=/

I don’t see any problems now. You guys?

Yeah still broken.

Actually worse. Last time I could get to the main page.

Yea… so this is also affecting the Portal since the Portal was always pulling the latest matchbox archive from the logik-matchbook.org website. I’ve done a quick little tweak to the Portal so that it grabs the matchbox archive from the Portal FTP instead. This will only work with the newest version(2.3) of the Portal which can be had here:

Unfortunately the newest version of the archive I have is about a year and a half old. If anyone has a newer one hit me up and I’ll replace it.

If anyone runs into any problems, let me know.

Thanks to @ManChicken there’s much newer version of the matchbox archive now available on the Portal which should have all the latest and greatest.

So this is the fucking cartoon.

The other day I wiped the Portal and MLTimewarp from my opt/Autodesk/shared/python and it went away. Then I loaded back the ML Timewarp and all seemed good. This morning I have a moment so I cleared out everything, reloaded the portal (which now works. I had nothing on the right side the last time I did it) and all seemed well. Then I loaded ML timewarp (which surprisingly was not in the portal) and all seemed well until I switched projects and this fine piece of art has made a return visit. And as a bonus, every time I switch projects I get another copy. @MikeV @randy .

Someone’s messing with you at work.

That’s a joke, right? Because I work alone.

I’ve had that shit. Can’t remember what the hell it was about or how I got rid of it. Surely a cleansing of my python directory or something.

I narrowed it down to something in the miniconda3 folder that gets installed with ML Timewarp. I’ve totally removed it. If I find, in the future I need it, ML Timewarp, I will reinstall.

If you reinstall the ML Timewarp script again later and run into issues again with the Portal take a screen grab of the errors in the shell. I’d be interested to see what the problem is. Maybe there’s a simple fix for it.

Which reminds me, last week I posted an updated version of the Portal:

It’s got a fix where the Portal wasn’t working when it found files starting with a period in the python folders. Thanks to @space_monkey for catching that one. I also added back the python submit button to make submitting scripts a little easier. A username/password is required to be able to upload scripts though. So anyone who’s interested, hit me up and I’ll set up an account.

I’ve installed the latest. The portal seems to have zero defects so far. I can see uploaded scripts now, and even the fluid morph I uploaded last year. Shout out to @andymilkis for the create batch. The issue seems to be in the secondary extraction of the timewarp. It’s almost like it was an ā€œeaster eggā€ put in there by some script compiler in a far off land. I hate that shit.

And as far as the shell goes, there were so many Python errors in the shell that the unix limit was surpassed and I had to go into the logs just to see the first lines after starting the app. Yet everything worked, aside from the fact that the fucking cartoon kept reappearing.

Another update for the Portal. If anyone has archives they want to share, there’s now a tab for that. Archives up to 200mb can be uploaded.

To upload hit Submit in the Archive tab, then select the folder that contains the archive. The archive will be compressed before uploading so no need to do that beforehand. All files in the selected folder will be uploaded so be sure it only contains the archive.

The latest version can be had here:

FYI I just uploaded the Flame Bechmark Archive to the Archie Tab of the Logik Portal.

@digitalbanshee, when you have a sec, would you mind uploading your Object Destroyer Getter Ridder Thingamabob you showed this past Sunday? I would LOVE a chance to test drive that today!

Thanks! I have a batch setup to submit but nothing happens when I click ā€œsubmitā€ on the Batch Setups tab. I do get a pop up menu if I’m in the Python Scripts tab…
